Asana is the one of the eight limbs of yoga and the one we are most familiar with in the West. Asana refers to the practice of moving our bodies through a series of poses for purification. Other benefits include increased mobility, ease of chronic pain, improved balance, increased sense of proprioception and interoception, and mental clarity. Every body is a yoga body and I believe in making this practice accessible for people with all abilties.

Breathwork is the use of a continual breath pattern with the intention of bringing our bodies and minds back into a state of balance. The breath is one of the most efficient ways to engage our parasympathetic nervous system (aka rest & digest). Only in this state is where we can heal.

Dhyana is the seventh limb of yoga. This practice is best when we’ve used the practice of the prior limbs such as yoga ethics, postures, breath, and concentration to prepare the body/mind/soul for meditation. Meditation comes in a number of different forms depending on your goals and intentions. There are many proven benefits to having a consistent meditation practice.

Modern life has us more lonely than ever and as social beings, community is one of the single most important things to cultivate for our well-being. To facilitate this, I offer a weekly women’s circle at my home where we engage in a shared practice, and discussion, then followed by a meal together.
